My health journey

Hello My Lovely Readers!

Today I wanted to talk about (as you can see from the tittle) about my health journey. In my recent post which was about a fitness guide named Fitazfk that I will talk about my health journey. So I don’t waste more time rambling. Here it is.

It all started when I realized how much weight I have gained in the summer. I don’t say that I was fat or anything but I was not lean like I used to. And that was not the biggest problem. I just haven’t felt healthy. I was not going to the gym nor ate properly. I consumed junk food (not a lot but I definitely went to McDonald’s a few times) and I just haven’t felt energized. I sat home watching TV, binge eating and not exercising. And that was such a relapse for me. I was sad and I felt like a completely different person than I used to.

So I told myself ‘Stop and get yourself together’ (a couple of times) and I finally started to make some effort for my goal. My goal was to step on the path where I used to be and nothing more.

So as a normal person I jumped on Pinterest and started looking for fitness plans. I wanted a plan because I like it more when a guide or a trainer tell me what to do because if I have to do all by myself than there won’t be any progress. After a long period of searching I finally found an affordable guide which I thought will help me. (I wrote a detailed review with my own experiences you can check it out here.) So I started doing it. Besides one or two problem I enjoyed doing something for my health. Finally. I started eating more healthy and exercising daily. I must admit it felt good. But it was real hard to get back on track. And sadly it was easy to get off this path.

It started with a family holiday in a 4* hotel. I think everyone can guess what happened next. Yes like a completely ordinary person I could not resist to eat cake, pasta some more cake and everything else which was not in the diet plan. And the truth is that I ate because there was a big variety where I could choose anything and of course I chose everything. Even if I was full and when my body did not need it at all.

And after we got home I was so despite. I didn’t know what to do now because a screw up everything.

But then I was like ‘I can’t do this anymore’ so I dedicated my time thinking what should I change why doesn’t it work. I started to do grocery shopping differently. I only bought vegetables, eggs, meat, fruits and nuts. My diet started getting better and better. I started doing exercises daily again. Finally I went back to the gym I used to go again or if I was not feeling going to the gym I searched tabata or HIIT workout on Youtube and after that I did some strengthening exercises for my abs and arms.

(I have some favorite Youtube workout videos if you curious write in the comments and I more than happy to share it.)

And I’m almost forget one of the great things which helped me to eat healthy. I never thought I would say this but calorie counting. Or something like that. Don’t get me wrong I don’t say it’s a bad thing I just never thought I would try it. Okay I’m not doing it like a pro and not that strict at all. I downloaded an app where you can write in if you want to lose weight, keep your weight and just simply eat healthy or gain weight and muscles. After that it gives you how many calories should you eat and that is it. You can choose and write in your meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and as a snack. You can see how many carbs, fat and protein did you ate that day. You can count how many glasses of water did you drink. And you can also dial in if you did any exercises. I’m really loving this app because it gives me a picture of how much should I eat. I learned how many calories are in different meals, snakcs and that makes it easy to choose what will I eat. Because if a meal is full with fat which I don’t need than I won’t eat it. Finally I understood what it feels like when people say “you are what you eat”. And please don’t think that I starve myself or I don’t eat anything sugary or sweet and I just have vegetables all the time. Belive me I eat f. ex. ice cream. A lot. Because I eat so much healthy food there is always left some place for some ice cream. And just yesterday I ate paleo cookies for the first time in my life. I didn’t thought it will be horrible but I would never dreamed that I will like it so much.

Now I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been and I’m not kidding. I’m now on holiday again for a few days and we eat out every day in restaurants and I order usually salads or grilled meals. I really enjoy this and I’m so happy about where am I right now.

Fitazfk overall review

Hello My Lovely Readers!

It has been a long time since I updated you about my ‘fitazfk jouney‘. So here it is.

As you could see in the last two posts that I made about Fitazfk’s guide I was pretty impressed about the programme. I still think that it is great just not for me. Maybe because I was not fully committed or something. So I can say that it wasn’t the BIG break-through for me. However it pushed me on a new journey but I will talk about that later in a different post.

Well the biggest difficulty for me was the equipment. I mean almost all of the workouts in the last two weeks had to be done with equipment. Which is not fine for me because I don’t have any weights at home or kettlebell or anything besides a yoga math and a jump rope. I wasn’t in the mood to spend money for things that I may not use again and I just don’t have enough room to keep weights in my apartment. So I was there with no equipment.

(But this can be my own personal problem and I don’t want to blame the guide because it was in it that some exercises need equipment. I just didn’t think that some means every.)

The other thing why I stopped doing it is that we went on holiday with my family and there was just too many food so I stopped for a few days and there were the lack of equipment so I totally stopped trying after that. And I lost interest too.

But I would still recommend the guide to people who are fully committed and have weights at home because it is a great way to become more healthy!

1st week of Fitazfk

Well, first week is almost over so I’m here with a little update on the Fitazfk 28 days fitness guide. If you haven’t read my last post about the guide (that was about my first impressions) and you are curious you can check it out here.

Fitness part:

The guide is really nice. It gives a helpful description about the exercises you should do so if you are not familiar with the name of the exercises or how to do them don’t worry you will understand it easily. There are sessions 6 out of 7 days. The last day is rest day so you can chill and don’t have to do anything just follow the diet and that is all. There are days when you should do HIT sessions (means High Intensity Training) and there are days when you should do toning exercices, and build muscles. Each day the exercices last 28 minutes. Like I mentioned in my previous post there are different levels of difficulty that means if you are a beginner you should do less reps than an advanced people should. At the beginning they test if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced so you don’t get to decide which one would you like to do. The sessions are not that hard especially for those who are ‘in shape’ and work out. BUT I still got very sweaty doing some session. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that there are exercices which recommend to have equipments around you. Sadly I don’t have this at home so I did everything with bodyweight only. I think this is the only downside of the guide. The equipments. Because not everyone has weights at home.

Nutrition part:

I mentioned that there is a meal plan, a diet that you should follow. I think this is not that hard to follow because if you are eating healthy now than this won’t be a difficulty. You should eat a ton of veggies which is fine for me because since I was a child my fuel was veggies and fruits. And because of that it wasn’t easy for me to skip eating fruits. The diet says that you can eat a handful of berries before working out or if you are craving some sweet. Sadly I ate a little more than that… And I had 2 days with family which means I didn’t follow the diet every day. I wasn’t able to resist the fruit soup and the grilled cheese that my grandmother made. I know that is a shame but I tried to drink  tons of water after that to cleanse my body.

The guide says that after this first phase you should lose 2-4kg. Well I think I lost a kilo or maybe 2 but I think there would be a bigger result if I follow the guide constantly. I feel much healthier and that is great because the last 2 weeks I was on a holiday and I felt like crap when I got home (that is why I started this guide) so this is already a great result for me. I can’t wait to continue this journey and to share it with you too.

What to watch 01

Hello My Lovely Readers!

Today I want to talk about one of my new absolute favorite TV show and that is the Stitchers. I’m in love with it.

The story is about a girl (named Kirsten) who start to work for a secret government agency. Her job is to connect into the mind of the recently deceased. She uses their memory to investigate murders.

The series launched in 2015 in the United States. The creator is Jeffrey Alan Schechter. This is a sc-fi, a drama and a crime story. The name characters are Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ratesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Allison Scagliotti, Damon Dayoub. Now it is season 3 and I can’t wait to watch the next episode.

Fitazfk first impressions

Hello My Lovely Readers!

Long time no see. Here I’m for testing this new fitness guide named Fitazfk for you. I saw this everywhere so I thought let’s give it a try. Before I bought it I wanted to read about more and watch the ‘result’ and just simply that what was the experience like. And I found nothing. So I thought if someone would want the same then here I’m with some help.

So this first post is about my first impressions of the guide. Well it looks nice. It has a lot of pictures in it and helpful images about the different exercises. It describes everything very clearly. It contains a meal plan and exercises for each day. (I bought the 28 days fitness challenge.)

It has 3 different categories for beginners, intermediate and advanced so this way everyone can have a workout for their own needs. There are different variety of exercises and trainings in the guide so you don’t have to do the same thing every day.

The meals contain a lot of vegetables, meets and eggs which I really like. But sadly the fruits are not really in the diet.

7 day challenge

Hello My Lovely Readers!

As I was on Pinterest I saw a picture about a 7 day challenge about healthier eating. It was in my mind for a long time. I was like ‘I would never be able to accomplish that because it is too hard for me’.

Last week I was at ski camp with my school and sadly that was about eating junk food every night and day. So when I came home I thought that this was enough I won’t do this anymore. I wanted to take a step towards my goal (to eat perfectly healthy if that is existing). So I thought why not to challenge myself and do this 7 day challenge to clean my body from that junk food and finally start to do something to accomplish my goal.

So here I go. I’m doing it. I’m at the second day but I would never thought that I can do even one day of it. But I’m doing it. It is sometimes very challenging for example when I’m in a bakery or at lunch when I see all of those good-looking pasta meals. But now my goal is to prove myself that I can do this.

If you want to follow my tiny one week journey than keep checking back. I think I will do one or two updates depend on how curious are you and of course if I fail than there won’t be anything to write about. But anyways here is the challenge:

The easy part for me is the no soda and no red meat. The no bread is very hard for me because I eat that every morning and night. I know it is not healthy but I’m used to it. I love pasta, almost all of my favourite meals are made pasta. And the sweet part well this is very hard for me because I love cookies and any kind of sweet ‘meals’ like pancakes waffles etc.. I thought that there will be a tons of food that I can eat but I was wrong. I’m eating fruits, veggies, potatoes(!), soup, chicken and veggies and cereal bars. I drink a lot of water. I think that is a key to drink a ton of water. The exercise part isn’t too hard for me because as I mentioned in my last post I go to the gym almost every day. I do yoga and mini workout in the mornings too.

I should say it is not that bad as it looks especially for those who eat healthy already. But if you want to challenge yourself than this is perfect for that. Let me know if you tried it or want to. I’m curious all of your stories.

Here I go again…life update

Hello My Lovely Readers!

Well, long time no see. I’m the worst ‘blogger’ ever. But never mind I’m back again and continue to try this.

I don’t really know where to start this. I feel like I should do a life update or something like that.

I know that it is February now but still I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!:)  I hope everyone enjoys and makes it the best year ever. I always promise myself that I will make my wishes come true and achieve my goals but sadly after one or two weeks I give up and just don’t do anything to make a change. But this year finally I got myself together and I didn’t give up after two days and I’m feeling great. I did a ton of things and it is only February so I’m very proud of myself. F.ex.:

  • I finally got the tattoo that I wanted for a really long time.
  • I signed up to a gym and I go there at least 3 times a week.
  • I do yoga every morning.

But still there are things that I really want to do. F.ex.:Change my diet, less social media etc..

What is new?

Hello My Lovely Readers!

I was watching series when suddenly an idea came into my mind. I thought I will start a new “post series” named ‘What is new?’. I thought this would be a great thing to share with you. My new favourites or new things, shows, movies that I watch or new products that I use or anything new in my life. So let me know in the comment if you like the idea and now let’s start this.

  1. New series: Recently I started watching Gotham. This is a very similar to the series named ‘Arrow’ so if you liked that you will like this too.
  2. New shoes: This is very random but I thought why not to include my new favourite pair of booties. (I wear those in this post.)
  3. New lipstick: My very new fall lipstick is from Avon. I ordered it online and I absolutely love the color. Soon there will be a post on it.
  4. New beanie: Grey beanie. My fav. I wore it every single day. I love the look of it. Simple but cute. Sadly I did not find a photo where I wear it but I promise there will be soon. (With my short hair.:) If you didn’t see my post about my haircut you can check it here.)
  5. New nails: Here is a photo of them. Just a natural nude color with diamonds. But I love it.3599
  6. New recipe: Last weekend I tried a new recipe from a magazine. It was an apple pie recipe. It was very delicious. I was craving for apple pie so I had to do it.
  7. New music: Last week (I think) Fifth Harmony came out with a new song and I’m loving it. The tittle is That’s my girl. If you have not heard it yet you should check it out. And my fav since I first heard it is Mike Perry-Ocean drive.
  8. New movie in cinema: I watched the new Bridget Jones movie last Saturday. It was pretty good. I did not expected to be this good.
  9. New clothes: Finally I can wear my sweatshirts. I couldn’t wait this time of the year.
  10. New bag: My absolute favourite thing that I recently bought is this bag from Stradivarius. Here you can see photos.

Oriflame Very Me No Time For Shine Foundation Review

Today I wanted to spice up the things and do something different. I decided that I will do my first official ‘review’. I chose the Very Me No Time For Shine Foundation. This is a product of Oriflame. I ordered it online a few days ago. This was the first time when I ordered anything from the Internet or from a magazine. (Here is the link if you want to check it out.)

Okay well this was a very cheap product and this is one of the reasons why I bought it. I thought first I will try something inexpensive because if I wouldn’t like it then at least I did not pay a big price for it.

First impression was that it is looking so good. I’m really liking the packaging. It reminds me for something very expensive. Or something from L’oréal.

Then I wanted to try it out so I did it (of course:D). Okay well my thoughts:

  1. I think the color is perfect. I really like it. It is very light and it is great for me because I have a pale skin. (It has only two shades.)
  2. The consistency was a little bit weird for me because I’m use to very liquid foundations but this is a little bit thicker. But other than that it is good especially for those who don’t like the very liquid foundations.
  3. Anti-shine. Okay this was a problem for me. I have a very shiny skin which I really hate but what can I do with it. So I’m always looking for the ‘no shine’ and for the ‘matte effect’ foundations. And this is the second biggest reason why I bought this. So I think it started to shine after 3 or 4 maybe 5 hours. For some people it may seem like a long-lasting matte face but for me sadly it is not enough. I go to school every day and I hate when my skin shines. That is why I don’t into this product but I’m still liking it.
  4. Coverage. I think it is not cover at all. Well this is not the truth but if you have acnes or scars than this is not the best choise for you. It is perfect for even out your skin but nothing else.
  5. And the last thing which I wanted to mention is that how long it lasts.Well I found that it stays on the skin pretty well. (I think it depends on what kind of powder do you use.)

In total I think I will wear this for days when I don’t need that much coverage or I just go out for a few hours but sometimes even for school. So I recommend this if you don’t want high coverage and a cool light weight foundation.

My new haircut

Hello My Lovely Readers!

Wednesday was a very exciting day for me because I went to a hairdresser and cut my hair. On Monday I finally decided that I have the strength to cut my hair so I called my mom and I said that I want to cut my hair. Her first reaction was that I will regret it and that I shouldn’t do this. I told her I will cut my hair because it is needed. My ends were destroyed. So she came to terms with it and reserved me an appointment with my hairdresser. I was so nervous. I never had short hair before so I didn’t know what to expect. Two days later after school I set off for the salon. I was so excited. I finally arrived and sat dawn on the chair and there was no way back. It was interesting because I was not nervous at all. I just simply couldn’t wait for the result. Once or twice I was like ‘I don’t want to do this… Am I crazy’ but the hairdresser told me that everything will be okay and the ends were so bad and if she is not cut those off than it will naturally break down. And I know that it will grow faster when it is healthy. And after that little complication everything went fine. I sat there for like an hour and after that it was finally done. I was happy. I looked so different with that new hair.

Now a few days later I have some experience with it and I’m still liking it. I was a little bit sad when I saw the size of my bun but I will figure out something for a ‘bigger size’ bun. One thing that I hate in this new hairstyle is my ponytail. It is looking so bad because I have a ton of hair and I did not cut layers. But in total I’m liking it and experimenting with new hairstyles and I’m sure I would not undo this.

Okay now here are my ‘before’ photos. The truth is that I took these with timer on my phone and that is why it is not the best quality. And because the sun went down so the lights were bad too. Sorry for that but if you want you can watch some other post because I have a lot when you can see my ‘before’ hair.

And finally my ‘after hair’… (it is not naturally wavy it was made with a curling iron)
